Privacy Policy
Effective August 19, 2026
Cooked ("the app") is an iOS entertainment app that gives AI-generated verdicts on photos you choose to check. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. The short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, no selling data, and your photos are not stored.
Photos you check
When you choose a photo, it is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server, where an AI model analyzes it and returns a verdict. The image is processed only to generate that verdict and is not saved on our servers after the response is returned. We do not build a profile from your photos, and we never use them to train models.
Data we store
- Anonymous device identifier and check count. To enforce the free-check limit, we store a random identifier generated on your device together with a count of checks used. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account, because the app has none.
- Subscription status. Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify whether a subscription is active, identified only by an anonymous ID. We briefly cache the active/inactive result (about 5 minutes). We never see your payment details.
What we don't do
- No user accounts and no collection of your name, email, or contacts.
- No advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No sale or sharing of your data for marketing.
- No use of your photos beyond generating the verdict you asked for.
Service providers
Verdicts are generated by a third-party AI provider processing the image on our behalf, subject to their API data-handling terms (inputs are not used to train their models). Subscription state is verified through RevenueCat. Both receive only the minimum needed to do their job.
Children
Cooked is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can stop using the app at any time and manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings. Because we store no account data, there is nothing further to delete beyond the anonymous check count, which you can request we remove by contacting us.
