## 1. “My American Girl Doll” is how TikTok brags now.

The trending audio is a 2009 home video of a kid, Angelo, screaming with joy about his new doll, Mia. Creators lip-sync the scream, then reveal their own grown-up prized possession.

memes · published 2026-09-23 · https://isbrocooked.app/trends/2026-09-23/my-american-girl-doll-tiktok-audio

New Engen’s September 21 trend update explains the format: open on your reaction shot, lip-sync the “woahhh” moment, then cut to text revealing your actual “American Girl doll.” A package that just arrived, a week-old friendship, a diploma you mention a lot. The joke is childhood-level excitement pointed at something ordinary.

Why it works: the audio is real, unfiltered and not a creator flexing on purpose, so the reveal carries the whole punchline. It is also a brag that does not feel like a brag. If your feed is suddenly full of people screaming about their coffee order, this is the reason.

**Okay but settle this:** Name your current American Girl doll, meaning the thing you cannot stop mentioning. Describe it and get it rated.

## 2. Toy Story 5 hits Disney+ today. Fortnite got it first.

Toy Story 5 streams on Disney+ from September 23. A day earlier, Disney and Pixar launched “The Great Toy Rescue” in Fortnite: a two-week hunt for six lost toys across creator-made islands, running through October 5.

gaming · published 2026-09-23 · https://isbrocooked.app/trends/2026-09-23/toy-story-5-great-toy-rescue-fortnite

D23’s September 22 announcement lays it out. The home base is Bonnie’s imagination, rendered at toy height, so ordinary furniture becomes terrain. A rift scatters Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Rex, Hamm and Forky across separate islands, and each rescue has its own job: paperclips for Forky, coins for Hamm, horseshoes for Jessie, batteries for Buzz, a necklace repair for Rex, and a two-person crayon run for Woody.

Why it is everywhere: the movie was the summer’s big Pixar release, and the streaming date lands the same week as the Fortnite event, so the group chat gets both at once. D23 calls this the first time a Disney adventure has been connected across multiple creator islands. The event ends October 5 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific; the movie stays on Disney+.

**Okay but settle this:** Woody, Buzz or Jessie: who’s actually running the toy box in 2026? Make your case for one.

## 3. One song has been No. 1 since February. It just beat Mariah.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” logged its 23rd week atop the Billboard Hot 100 on September 22, the longest run in the chart’s history. The previous record was 22 weeks, held by “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

music · published 2026-09-23 · https://isbrocooked.app/trends/2026-09-23/choosin-texas-longest-running-number-one

The AP report carried by KCBD on September 22 has the receipts: a midtempo country heartbreak song released last October, now past marks set by “Old Town Road,” “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and “I Will Always Love You.” Luminate counts 911 million on-demand U.S. streams. Spotify’s Claire Heinichen says it “started big” on country playlists and then kept working on all-genre ones.

Why it matters beyond the chart: Langley began 2023 with under a million monthly Spotify listeners and now has over 32 million, according to the same report. If you have never chosen this song on purpose, that is sort of the point. It shows up on everyone’s playlists, so it never leaves the top spot.

**Okay but settle this:** Confess your most-repeated song this year and how long the loop has lasted. Is your repeat button cooked?

## 4. JoJo’s Steel Ball Run resumes Friday. The desert is next.

The 2nd Stage of “Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” starts on Netflix on September 25, with new episodes weekly on Fridays. Netflix’s September 21 Tudum post names the first new episode: “The Sheriff’s Request to Mountain Tim.”

screen · published 2026-09-23 · https://isbrocooked.app/trends/2026-09-23/steel-ball-run-second-stage-netflix-friday

The setup, per Netflix: Johnny and Gyro face a roughly 750-mile desert crossing that includes a feared area called the Devil’s Palm, and a string of strange incidents makes clear the race is more than a race. New racers include the veteran cowboy Mountain Tim and the rival Hot Pants. GamesRadar’s September 21 schedule piece expects the drop at midnight Pacific and reports the combined 2nd and 3rd Stages run 11 episodes.

Why the anime feed is loud about it: Steel Ball Run is the part of JoJo people have been asking to see animated for years, and the opening stage only got the race started. If you skipped it, the premise is simple. A cross-country horse race in 1890, two unlikely partners, and a lot of spinning steel balls.

**Okay but settle this:** Gyro or Johnny: who has more aura going into the desert? Pick one and defend it.

## 5. Prada opened Milan Fashion Week with one idea: the skirt.

Prada’s spring 2027 show on September 22 put a knee- or midi-length skirt in nearly every look: wrap skirts with high slits, sheer pleats in pastels, sequined florals, kilt-style wool and see-through pencil skirts with rhinestones.

style · published 2026-09-23 · https://isbrocooked.app/trends/2026-09-23/prada-spring-2027-skirts-milan

W’s September 22 report from the fluorescent-lit Prada Foundation describes the styling: minimal bandeau and bralette tops, gem-trimmed bra layers under colorblock shirts, raw-hem vests, asymmetric sunglasses, and kitten heels with floral brooches. Raf Simons said the team was “fascinated by the way Prada skirts, not alone but in particular, stand the test of time.”

Why it travels past fashion people: a single-garment thesis is easy to copy at home. One skirt, one plain top, done. Prada also took the opening slot of the week for the first time in years, which is why your fashion feed switched from London to Milan overnight. Spring 2027 is the collection name, not a typo.

**Okay but settle this:** A midi skirt, a plain tank and kitten heels for school or work tomorrow. Describe your version. Should you wear it?
