# Control Resonant leaves the office for a broken Manhattan.

Remedy's Control sequel is scheduled for September 24 on PS5. Dylan Faden takes the lead in a Manhattan warped by strange forces, with a shapeshifting melee weapon and areas built for exploration.

A September 18 PlayStation hands-on says the sequel moves beyond the Oldest House, the office building at the center of the first game. Dylan is looking for his sister Jesse while fighting entities called Resonants. Combat leans into close-range attacks, abilities and skill-tree choices.

The city is split into focused areas instead of one seamless open world. That is the useful context behind the surreal clips: the sequel keeps Control's impossible architecture, then gives it streets, taxis and much more room to get weird.

**Okay but settle this:** If your commute crossed a reality-warped Manhattan, would your survival plan hold up for one block?
