## 1. Taylor Swift broke the VMAs record and dropped a movie-star video.

At Sunday's 2026 VMAs, Taylor Swift became the most-awarded artist in the show's history with 32 wins, passing Beyoncé's 30. She also premiered her Patient Zero video, starring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell.

music · published 2026-09-29 · https://isbrocooked.app/trends/2026-09-29/vmas-2026-taylor-swift-record-patient-zero-video

NBC News reports Swift directed the Patient Zero video herself, with Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki shooting it. ABC News says it debuted right after she accepted the new Artist Director Honors, and that The Fate of Ophelia won Video of the Year.

Madonna opened the show with her first VMAs performance in 23 years, bringing out Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX. Nirvana took the Video Vanguard Award. If your feed is split between a Madonna clip and a Swift clip today, that is why.

**Okay but settle this:** Madonna's comeback opener or Swift's record-breaking night: who actually won the VMAs?

## 2. Minecraft Dungeons II is out today.

Minecraft Dungeons II launches September 29 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Switch and Switch 2. It is a co-op dungeon crawler, not a new Minecraft, and costs $30, or $50 for the Deluxe edition with two DLC packs.

gaming · published 2026-09-29 · https://isbrocooked.app/trends/2026-09-29/minecraft-dungeons-2-out-today

Game Rant's September 27 guide lists the unlock at 4 a.m. ET, 9 a.m. in London. The big new thing is The Sift, a new dimension that shows up in Dungeons II first. Shattered's Minecraft Live recap says it reaches regular Java and Bedrock in 2027.

Saturday's Minecraft Live also set Minecraft for Switch 2 for October 27 and announced a real Minecraft theme-park area at Chessington, near London, for 2027. So if your friends are suddenly all in one party chat, this is the reason.

**Okay but settle this:** Thirty dollars, a new dimension and co-op with your friends. Is Dungeons II a buy, or a wait-for-a-sale?

## 3. 6-7 is still the most-searched slang of 2026.

A study of US Google searches from January to August 2026 puts 6-7 and chud at the top of the most-searched Gen Alpha slang. Rizz, no cap, bop, aura and crash out also made the top 10.

internet · published 2026-09-29 · https://isbrocooked.app/trends/2026-09-29/most-searched-gen-alpha-slang-2026-six-seven-chud

Euronews reported the list on September 28. It comes from the word-game site Unscramblerer, which looked at search data, not at what people actually say. So it measures confusion as much as popularity: these are the words people had to look up.

6-7 means basically nothing, and that is the point. It comes from Skrilla's Doot Doot (6 7) and is said with a weighing-hands gesture. Chud is an insult meaning loser. Aura, as in aura points, is at number eight, which is why your group chat is still keeping score.

**Okay but settle this:** Screenshot your own texts. Is your slang giving main-character aura, or is it just 6-7 on repeat?

## 4. One Piece went LEGO, and Infinity Castle hit Netflix.

LEGO ONE PIECE premieres on Netflix September 29, retelling the live-action series in brick form. The day before, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle arrived on Netflix. It is a big week for anime fans.

What's on Netflix's September 28 weekly guide calls LEGO ONE PIECE a LEGO adaptation of the live-action adaptation of the anime of the manga. Luffy, Zoro, Nami and the Straw Hats get rebuilt with sight gags and LEGO-style chaos.

The same guide lists Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle for Monday, Ranma 1/2 season 3 for Saturday and Blue Box season 2 for Sunday. If your timeline suddenly has a lot of sword fights, this week is why.

**Okay but settle this:** LEGO Luffy or Tanjiro in the Infinity Castle: who has more aura this week?

## 5. Paris Fashion Week started, and Zara x Galliano is on the schedule.

Paris Fashion Week for spring/summer 2027 runs from September 28 to October 6, with 68 shows. Dior shows today, and a Zara x John Galliano collaboration is set to be revealed October 1.

Wallpaper's September 28 schedule guide says Jonathan Anderson shows his third Dior ready-to-wear season on September 29, Chanel follows October 5 and Louis Vuitton closes the week October 6. Zara x Galliano is the one you might actually be able to buy.

CNN Style's running gallery is tracking arrivals like Rihanna, Anya Taylor-Joy and Cynthia Erivo. Expect a week of street-style clips and runway reactions. The runway sets the trends; the TikTok fit checks come right after.

**Okay but settle this:** Paris is setting next spring's trends. Post today's fit: runway-ready, or still in the group chat draft phase?
